Andrei Mitrea

Teacher of Sports & PE

In 2017, I graduated from Grivița Technical High School in Bucharest – sports department, then I went to the University of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest, majoring in Sport and motor performance, in parallel with the Faculty of Geography within the University of Bucharest. Also, in 2017 I attended the National Coaching School within the National Training Center, which I graduated in 2018, succeeding in obtaining the title of assistant coach.

In 2020, guided by the desire to help others spend quality free time, I started Physical Education and Leisure Motor Activities Master programme, which I graduated in the summer of 2022. The internships, the projects and all the experience I gained during my studies made me who I am, opened new horizons for me and most importantly – I have learned how valuable is the discipline that sport gives you. And this became one of my ideals: to educate through sport.

In 2020, I finished the Pedagogical training courses – module 1 at Spiru Haret University.

Since 2018 I have been voluntarily training children with whom we managed to win 3 national champion titles in 2019 – U14 category and in 2022 – U16 and U17 categories.

As a performance athlete, in 2016, I was part of the Romanian National Rugby Team – U18 that participated in the European Championship in Lisbon. In the same year, I won the title of National Champion – U18 category with the CSS2 CNE Rugby Baia Mare team. At the end of 2016 I was transferred to CSA Steaua and we won the title of National Rugby Champions in 7 and National Vice-Champions in rugby in 10. In 2017, I moved to the senior level, transferring to Grivița where in 2018 we won Division A.

The idea of mentoring and working with students inscites me and I am happy that I can contribute to the development of the future generations. I chose to join the Avenor team wanting to contribute to education through sport, with the hope that my previous experiences will help me achieve this goal.
