Inspired by my own primary school teacher, I have always wanted to become an educator. I chose this path believing that education can shape lives. Today, I know that the true inspiration comes from the children themselves \u2013 through their joy of learning, their curiosity, and the energy they bring into the classroom every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest and later earned a degree in Communication and Public Relations<\/em> from SNSPA \u201cDavid Ogilvy.\u201d I then completed a Master\u2019s degree in Educational Sciences \u2013 Lower Secondary Education \u2013 Policies and Development Strategies<\/em>, also at the University of Bucharest.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my nearly 20 years of experience in international education, I have had the opportunity to teach in both Romanian and English, in a multicultural environment that has offered me valuable challenges and the chance to work with professionals from diverse cultures and educational systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am deeply committed to ongoing professional development. I have obtained the national teaching certification (Definitivat) and the Second Didactic Degree. Over the years, I have attended numerous workshops, conferences, courses, and webinars covering topics such as Classroom Management, Communication Strategies, Differentiated Curriculum Design, Child Protection in Education, Multiple Intelligences, and Supporting EAL Learners across the Curriculum<\/em>. I have also completed the CGC training on Concept-Based Learning<\/em> with Kevin Bartlett, as well as the BSO Inspector Training delivered by Penta International.<\/span><\/p>\n

Avenor College is a collaborator of the Common Ground Collaborative (CGC), and this partnership has given me the opportunity to work closely with Kevin Bartlett, co-plan and co-teach a module with him, and explore concept-based teaching and metacognition in greater depth.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a maths expert for primary education, I contributed to the development of Avenor\u2019s progressive conceptual map for mathematics, as well as to the design of model modules aimed at supporting a cohesive and integrated curriculum. I also contributed to the national project \u201cPact for Impact\u201d (within the PNRR framework)<\/em>, where I developed innovative curricular resources.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, I contribute to the school\u2019s professional development program (PLD) by delivering the course \u201cMaking Maths Make Sense: Visual Reasoning and Number Talk in Primary.\u201d <\/em><\/span>

\n<\/span>I strongly believe that every child has unique potential, and my mission as a teacher is to create meaningful, engaging, and challenging learning experiences that foster confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>My hope at Avenor is to contribute to the design of a relevant curriculum that develops real-life skills and gives students opportunities to learn with purpose.
