My name is Isra and I was born in Puertollano, a small town in Spain. Since I was a child, it was very clear to me that I wanted to learn as many languages as possible: I wished I could learn English, French, Italian or even Greek. But, unfortunately, back then at school we could only study English at a fairly low level.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>In secondary education, I was lucky enough to study up to four foreign languages at the same time. But the most important part of that period was meeting the teacher \u2013 and now friend \u2013 who changed my life. Thanks to her, I discovered a new way of learning languages, where proximity, technology and an inspiring methodology sparked in me the desire to focus my career on languages. In 2006, I started my degree in Foreign Languages at the University of Alicante. There, in addition to studying French, English, Italian and Catalan, I had my first contact with Romanian. My growing interest in this language and its culture brought me to Bucharest in 2012 with a scholarship for young translators granted by the Romanian Cultural Institute. After that period, I fell in love with the country and decided to make it my home.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>A year before moving to Romania, I had my first experience as a Spanish teacher in two high schools in Lille, France. There I discovered that, beyond learning languages, teaching them was truly my passion. Once in Bucharest, I began working in the training department of a private company, while also completing a Master\u2019s degree in Intercultural Communication at the University of Bucharest. Over the years, I\u2019ve also had the chance to work at the Instituto Cervantes, where I was able to further develop my skills with learners of all ages \u2013 children, teenagers and adults.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>At Avenor, I have the opportunity to teach both Spanish and French. Being able to share not only my native language but also French \u2013 one of the first languages I fell in love with \u2013 is deeply rewarding. I enjoy helping students explore the richness of both cultures and seeing how learning another language can open their minds and build confidence.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Since joining Avenor over four years ago, I have continued to grow both professionally and personally. It is a place where I feel inspired every day, not only by the students and their curiosity, but also by the school\u2019s strong values and collaborative environment. I am proud to be part of a community where learning is guided by respect, creativity and empathy \u2013 values that I deeply share and try to reflect in my classroom.
