Reception Green Teacher
I thought I had super powers because I am a teacher. Then I became a mother.
I am Alexandra Dume and I am so excited to be back to Avenor. I first came here in 2010 and at the beginning of 2019 I started my journey into motherhood.
Before graduating from the Pedagogical High school, I was wondering how teaching would suit me and how I would feel being surrounded by children all day long. When I started to ‘taste’ this job I realized that it is not an ordinary one and the enormous amount of energy that children offer, made me fall in love with it.
I graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages studying English and German and later on from the Faculty of Education, studying Alternative Education and Theatre Arts for my Masters Degree. During my time at Avenor I continually developed my teaching skills through a variety of training related to the British curriculum as well as personal, social and emotional development, time management and teaching methods. In 2015, I achieved the Romanian ‘Definitivat in invatamant’. I have 11 years experience working with children aged 2 to 5 and I am excited to be part of Reception Green this year. I am passionate about art and design and I want this passion of mine to be reflected in the classroom.
Let’s get the fun started.
