Nursery Blue Teacher

My name is Oana Ștefan and I am enthusiastic to begin my fourth year with Avenor.

Ever since I was a child I remember pretending to teach, having my younger sister as my only pupil and the wardrobe doors as my blackboards. Later on, I felt great joy in fulfilling my childhood dream and actually getting to be a real teacher.  In 2005, I graduated The College for School Teachers included in The Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, at the Al. I. Cuza University in Iasi.

As a school teacher specialised in teaching in English, I have had the opportunity to work for more than 10 years in different state and private educational institutions. I have taught children aged between 3 – 6 years old, who I have assisted in their development from nursery until ‘clasa pregatitoare’. Moreover, I have teaching experience as a substitute English teacher in a secondary school which makes it easier for me to interact with children aged between 11 – 14 years old.

I am a perseverant learner who looks for new methods of teaching and I am constantly working to upgrade my knowledge. I am an NLP Practitioner and I use all I have learned to create meaningful educational experiences for the children in order to help them develop and achieve their potential. Through NLP, I have learned that there are no mistakes - just feedback and each individual evolves at their own rhythm. This summer, I passed the Definitivat exam as well as the FCE Exam and I am confident that I am on my way to create a better life for us all through the children who I teach.

In my everyday interaction with children my patience, understanding and attention to detail guide me in building relationships with the children, discovering their needs and helping them in overcoming their fears, maintaining a physically and emotionally safe environment in which they can grow and learn.

I enjoy every day spent with children in the land of wonder and discovery. Every day is filled with magic and learning… Every day is celebrated through song and laughter.

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” (Malcolm X)
