Anamaria Marinescu
Nursery Teacher

My name is Anamaria Marinescu and I joined the Avenor nursery team in 2018, driven by the desire to contribute to children’s growth in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Over the years, I have grown alongside both the children and my colleagues, and for the past few years, in addition to my role as a teacher, I also have a Temporary Leadership Role. My main focus is on the assessment process, ensuring that each child’s progress is carefully monitored and that the next steps of learning are tailored to their individual needs and pace. I also provide feedback and support to fellow teachers so that, together, we can foster the harmonious development of every child.
I graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and, at the same time, completed a pedagogy course at the Faculty of Educational Sciences. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with children of various ages and helped me realise that my true passion lies in working with young learners. Through my studies in educational psychology, I learned how to make the learning process engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful for children.
Eager to deepen my knowledge, I completed a Master’s degree in Early Education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in 2020. I believe early childhood is the most important stage in a child’s development – when they form their personality, discover the world, and learn by observing and imitating adults. As a nursery teacher, I see my role as both a guide and a role model, helping children explore, learn, and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
To support my ongoing professional development, I have completed several courses focused on the EYFS curriculum, including the EYFS Teaching Diploma, Certificate in Early Years Care Routines, and Certificate in Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning. These training sessions have provided me with valuable tools to support each child’s learning journey and to tailor educational strategies to their individual needs.
In September 2023, I became a mother, an experience that has enriched my understanding of the challenges and joys of child development. It has strengthened my empathy, patience, and commitment to supporting both children and their families.
For me, being a nursery teacher means far more than teaching facts – it’s about fostering friendships, building confidence, and creating happy memories. At Avenor, I value the chance to grow as an educator while helping children embark on their own exciting learning journeys.
