Andrei Bratu
Drama and Improvisation Teacher

I am a theatre and improvisation teacher, and I firmly believe that art is an essential tool for the intellectual and emotional development of students. Theatre provides young people with an authentic space for exploration, communication, and reflection, stimulating creative thinking, critical spirit, and self-confidence.
My choice to pursue a career in education came naturally from the desire to support students in shaping their identity and expressing their ideas and emotions freely.
I graduated from the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest and enhanced my professional training through certifications in trainer education, project management, and artistic leadership. As part of the master’s programme in Theatre Institution Management, I had the opportunity to strengthen the connection between the performing arts and education.
Since 2017, I have been part of the Avenor College community, where I aim for every drama lesson to be an active learning experience that nurtures imagination, teamwork, and creativity. I believe in the power of theatre to create dialogue and collaboration, helping each student discover and refine their own voice.
Alongside my teaching activity, I manage Improteca, an improvisation theatre that I founded and that offers a diverse repertoire: classical and improvisation performances, national competitions, festival participation, and courses for children and adults. Improteca reflects my passion for performing arts and my commitment to education through theatre.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in educational and social projects and have collaborated with organisations that promote inclusion and civic engagement.
At Avenor, I aim to continue creating authentic contexts where theatre becomes a life experience that inspires, shapes, and challenges.
