Nursery Teacher

I began my teaching journey during my university studies when I was involved in a social volunteering programme. While completing my academic studies in education I was searching for something different in the educational system as I found out during my studies. Before graduating I started discovering the British curriculum in a small private nursery.

I have been “growing” together with Avenor and becoming confident and adapting to teaching all preschool age groups. I am involving children in the active learning process by understanding each unique child’s educational needs. Avenor is the place where children discover the environment that allows them to develop emotional, social, physical, and intellectual abilities. Throughout my journey in Avenor, I have discovered that every day spent in the company of children is part of life’s journey, a day that brings light to our lives because children are amazing and they offer us wonderful surprising moments.

I graduated from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. My main field of study is Educational Sciences and I have specialised in education since 2006. I completed my Master’s Degree, in 2008, in the field of Career and Educational Counselling and a GCDF specialisation in Counselling Supervision in 2009. Regarding British Curriculum, I am also certified as an EYFS teacher. I have also furthered my studies at the University of Bucharest – Faculty of Psychology and Educational Science – obtaining a qualification in teaching Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy.

Since 2005, I have been working as a teacher at Avenor Nursery and I have found Avenor to be a wonderful place to work. Over the years as a teacher I have had the chance to teach all kinds of age groups. I have gained in-depth knowledge of accommodating different styles of learning and incorporating effective methods to meet children’s needs.

My passion is arts and crafts, tailoring and maths and these are always a source of inspiration applied to my teaching style.

What motivates me the most as a teacher in Avenor is focusing on the well-being of each unique child. I promote collaboration and cooperation between the teacher, the child, the parents, and colleagues.

The upcoming academic year will be challenging and having a positive approach that will help us all in turning it into an amazing one. I am very happy to be a part of Avenor and I am looking forward to working with children. I also look forward to a wonderful partnership in children’s education.
