I discovered quite early that teaching others means getting to know people, places, and stories. Two months after graduating from the Pedagogical High School in Ploiești (1999), I became “the person at the desk” — a teacher with a double qualification in primary and preschool education.
I graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Romanian–English section, at the “Petrol-Gaze” University in Ploiești (2005) and earned a Master’s degree in Educational Management from SNSPA, Bucharest (2006). Naturally, this was followed by my permanent certification in education, CNFPA accreditation as a trainer, and IRSCA certification in educating children with high abilities.
My experience within the PYP (Primary Years Programme) continued through participation in specialised training courses — for example, Mantle of the Expert, “CRED – Relevant Curriculum, Open Education for All”, Visible Thinking Routines, Magic School, and Book Creator Ambassador. I specialised in STEM education and contribute with workshops on project-based learning within various learning communities such as Aspire Teachers and EASE (European network of STEAM Educators).
I am constantly exploring the newest ideas in education. I am part of the module-writing team through a partnership with CGC (Common Ground Collaborative).
My publishing journey began in 2012 at Humanitas Publishing House as co-author of a set of mathematics and environmental exploration worksheets for grade Pregătitoare. I had the privilege of meeting Tony Buzan, the creator of mind maps, after obtaining the THINKBUZAN Mind Mapping Practitioner certification and launching the book The ABC of Graphic Organisers at DPH Publishing House in 2019. I promote the principles of transdisciplinary learning through the creation of innovative materials, such as the Colourful School educational pack for grade 1, published by Artklett.
In June 2025, I obtained the Habits of Mind Practitioner certification, which has opened the door to new national and international projects promoting applied learning based on transversal competences.
My mission at Avenor continues on multiple levels, embraced with both responsibility and joy. I coordinate the curriculum design project at the primary level. All my actions aim to guide students to learn how to learn — with pleasure and as a habit, anywhere and at any time.
In my free time, I dedicate myself to my family, nature walks, and cultural tourism.
