Oana Cârlan

Nursery Counsellor

My name is Oana Cârlan and I am happy to continue my activity at Avenor Nursery  as a counselor, PSHE teacher and club teacher. I started my journey in Avenor in 2015 and I used to teach children from all the age ranges as a class teacher, PSHE teacher and club teacher.

My professional pathway started in High School, where I graduated with double specialisation: Nursery and Primary teacher, it continued with a bachelor diploma in Psychology and then I studied at the European Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy for Children and Teeenagers.

I am accredited to work as an integrative psychotherapist by the College of Psychologists in Romania, and I regularly attend external professional supervision sessions to improve the quality of my therapeutic work.

I have been working with children for more than 16 years in different environments. Over the years I attended a diversity of courses which offered me the opportunity to constantly learn. This is one of my highest values in life, alongside caring for others and protecting nature. Being a mother of 2 lovely kids, brought a deeper understanding of a child’s mind and heart, which allows me to admire and celebrate even more each person’s uniqueness and authenticity even more.

Over the years, I had the chance to be part of different projects such as ”The integrated programme for mothers and children” up to 2 years old” and ”School from Home”’ which I will continue this year as well.

I learned from the children to enjoy every single moment, to be present in any relationship and to be happy just because another day, with infinite possibilities, just started.
