Oana Ștefan

Nursery Teacher
TLR - Curriculum Transition Developer

I am Oana Ștefan and I have been part of the Avenor team since 2017.

Ever since I was a child I remember pretending to teach my younger sister as my only pupil, with the wardrobe doors as my blackboard. Later on, I felt great joy in fulfilling my childhood dream and actually becoming a real teacher.

In 2005, I graduated from The College for School Teachers included in The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, at the Al. I. Cuza University in Iași.

Learning did not stop there, I have passed the Definitivat exam and the FCE Exam in 2018 and I have added some NLP knowledge in my bag, which helps me to provide the adequate context for children to wonder and be curious to investigate new learning contents.

I have worked as a teacher since I graduated in 2005, in both state schools and private ones and, in some of them, I have experienced the leader role. Each experience made me who I am now. I am grateful to share my knowledge and I continue the teaching and learning journey. I feel that learning never stops during a lifetime and I am curious to explore new situations, confident that it will bring the best out of everybody.

My experience in Avenor gave me the chance to work with all age groups until now and I have guided children in achieving their educational goals. I have menteed young colleagues applying EYFS curriculum in the past years. My experience led to joining the leadership team as a Curriculum Transition Developer.

I am volunteering my coaching skills in Bootcamp University, a self development program designed by Andy Szekely and I support adults in finding their potential and bring it into everyday life. I have also designed and delivered an online workshop for children inspired by the book ‘Scoala de Ghinzi’ by Andy Szekely and Irina Vasilescu.

I believe that all children can reach their full potential once they feel comfortable and I focus on building trustful relationships with them, where mistakes are just chances to improve or overcome challenges.

I enjoy every day spent with children in the land of wonder and discovery. Every day is filled with magic and learning… Every day is celebrated through songs and laughter. I am confident that Avenor is the place to educate children for the future.
