Ramona Costache
Nursery Teacher

My passion for education began as a teenager in the Scout Movement. During this time, I encountered a variety of pedagogical approaches which led me to recognise the importance of early education. Over the years this experience guided my decision to pursue a career in teaching.
I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology’ Titu Maiorescu’ Bucharest and in 2012 I completed my master’s degree at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences in Bucharest, specializing in School Counseling and Career Development.
In addition, I completed the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning (RQF).
The opportunity to undertake a period of study overseas provided the occasion for a comprehensive and detailed exploration of the British educational system where I feel that my teaching style has really clicked. The teaching position was undertaken in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) in a variety of Primary schools across Liverpool, United Kingdom. This role was both enriching and fulfilling, offering the opportunity to contribute to the education of young learners.
My experience in education started in 2014 in Romania, where I engaged in professional practice in various nurseries operating in alternative pedagogical frameworks. I believe that every child is uniquely valuable and has a capacity to develop to be prepared for a better future. For me education emphasizes the importance of being open to new ideas and experiences, and adaptable to change in order to grow.
Connecting with children through teaching and fostering a creative learning environment gives me a sense of personal fulfillment. I am inspired to look into the future and to enable children to feel secure and happy. In class I encouraged them to explore, discover new skills and have self-confidence which represents an important aspect of my life because nurturing their growth and resilience not only shapes their future but also gives meaning and purpose to my own journey.
In my spare time I like going to different cultural events, I enjoy taking photographs, reading good books, running, going for a long walk or simply appreciating the beauty of nature around me, which I love and protect.
The primary motivation behind my decision to join the Avenor team was the sense of shared values and principles. At Avenor College, my goal is to cultivate an environment where all pupils can progress academically, socially and emotionally regardless of their backgrounds and needs.
“Finding God in all things” is a quote that inspires me to reflect more deeply on my life and daily experiences, guiding me in my journey to become the best version of myself.
