Key processes and resources needed at the beginning of the school year

Uniform

At Avenor, wearing the school uniform is mandatory. All students must have the required uniform items to be appropriately dressed for any occasion – formal, informal, or sportswear.

Uniforms are ordered through the Parent Portal in accordance with the Ordering Procedure.

Orders placed and paid for by August 19 will be delivered before September 1. For orders placed after this date, we cannot guarantee delivery before the start of the school year.

Transport

Registrations for the transportation service for the 2025–2026 school year are still open. To register, please complete the form available in your Open Apply account by August 20.

iPad enrolled
in Jamf

FOR NEW STUDENTS IN GRADE PREGĂTITOARE – 8

At Avenor, all children use iPads enrolled in the JAMF system, which allows us to focus solely on learning during and outside of class hours while at school.

New students in grades 1–8 must bring the following items between August 18 – 29  At the Forest Reception, an iPad (any model) with a PEN to install the JAMF program. The iPad can be picked up within 72 hours.

Preparatory class students will bring their iPads for JAMF installation in October. The schedule will be announced by the teacher at the beginning of October.

If you have any questions, please send a message to technology@avenor.ro or visit this dedicated page use of technology at Avenor.

Shoes

Children need black shoes for their formal uniform, white-soled sports shoes for indoor use, and everyday shoes. Flashy shoes are fit for weekends and holydays but are not accepted at school.

Avenor School Bag

The backpack is provided by the school. The Avenor backpack meets age-specific needs and fits into the storage spaces available at school. The school bag will be personalised with the child’s name so that it can be quickly located by the teachers.

Resources

All school supplies – books, notebooks, pencils, markers, etc. – are provided by the school. The PENCIL CASE is a personal item that is NOT included in the list of supplies provided by the school.

Water bottle

Daily, students need to bring a water bottle to school (max. 500 ml). We recommend that the bottle be labelled with the child’s name or have an easily recognizable design. The bottle can be filled with water at school.

Snack Box*

Please use a snack box for your child’s morning snack. We recommend you to choose one that can be used for a longer period of time.
*Not required for high school students.

Communication at Avenor

The Avenor Parents Portal is a platform that aims to provide a single point of access to information of interest to parents.

ENGAGE is the platform through which you can keep in touch with teachers and access your child’s school records – educational content, assessment reports, timetable, and absences.

OPEN APPLY is the platform through which official communication regarding school enrollment and re-enrollment takes place, and where all administrative documents required during the school year are uploaded.

The two platforms have apps that let you use them more easily, directly from your mobile phone.

The Open Apply App can be downloaded from Google Play or the App Store, and the Engage Parent App is a progressive web app that can be installed on your Home Screen by accessing the web version of the Engage Portal directly from your mobile phone. Both apps are accessed with the username and password that each parent has to log into the portals. Here you can view a short installation and usage guide for Engage.

Setting up the parents’ committee for the new school year

We thank the parents who are part of the Committee and who ensure a good communication between the school and the parents’ community every year.

On the first day of school, please inform the form tutor who will represent your class during this school year.
