2022 -2023
Important dates at the beginning of the
school year
August 29th – 31st
Individual meetings for the new families joining our Nursery (onsite and online), to give you the chance to connect with the class teacher and talk about each child. You will be contacted to set up a time interval.
September 1st
Official start of the school year in Cașin Nursery. On this day the children will follow their regular full schedule, including clubs.
September 5th
Official start of the school year for our Year One Green group in Greenfield. On this day the children will follow their regular full schedule.
IMPORTANT: if, from a logistical point of view, there are families who want to bring their children to the nursery starting on September 1st, you are welcomed in Cașin on these two days (September 1 and 2). Their class teachers will be the ones receiving them directly. Please inform us, so we can make the proper arrangements.
September 12th
For Year One Green group in Greenfield the clubs will be available starting September 12th, and until that date, the children will have activities with the teachers to the completion of their daily schedule.
Mid September
The first meeting with parents will take place onsite. During this meeting you will find relevant information about the organisation of the entire school year, the timetable and the educational journey of your child. More details will be communicated closer to the date.

Resources and personal belongings needed on
the first day of school
Indoor shoes
A set of labeled indoor shoes (they will remain in the nursery school in your child’s shoe tray – found in the main lobby).
Spare clothes
A complete set of spare clothes (labeled): underwear, T-shirt, socks, shorts, adaptable function to the weather.
Raincoats and Wellies
Hats when it is sunny, raincoats and wellies for rainy weather and winter overalls for snowy days.
Sports equiptment
Sports equipment: shorts, T-shirts, etc. when the children have sports activities (PE, music & movement, sport clubs, etc).
Pyjamas
Pyjamas for the long program with a nap.
Water bottle
A bottle of water (labeled).
Nappies
Nappies (if necessary) and cream, if you have a specific option.
Formation of the Parents' Committee in
the new school year
We thank the parents who are part of the Committee and who ensure a good communication between the school and the parents’ community every year. At the parent teacher meeting in September you will be invited to select the class representative during this school year.
Communication at Avenor Nursery
THE OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION is sent to the parents through the Engage Portal.
We invite you to download the Engage Application which will allow you to use this tool more easily, directly from your mobile phone. You can download the Engage School App from Google Play or the App Store. For the first login, you will need to enter the school ID: AVE368. The User ID and Password are the ones you use to log in to the Engage Portal.
THE EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION will be sent through direct messages from teachers or coordinators.
At the beginning of each learning module, you will receive a Note to Parents document. This includes very important details highlighting the learning goals of the areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Framework for Key Stage 1, Year 1. It also includes some key aspects related to how Learning Outside the Classroom & Events are integrated to support the learning objectives as well as the Avenor Learner Profile framework. Pictures from the educational activities will be sent once per month.
ASSESSMENT REPORTS will be available on the Engage Portal at the end of each term.
The academic situation of each student will be discussed individually with each family during the designated Parent Teacher Meeting or upon request at any time in the consultation program of our teachers.
