I am a dedicated teacher with nearly two decades of experience in education, including many years within British international schools. I hold a PGCE in Primary Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English and French, and I have extensive experience teaching children across the primary age range.

I believe that children thrive when they feel valued, supported and genuinely excited about their learning. I aim to create a classroom environment that combines warmth and encouragement with high expectations, where children feel confident to ask questions, take risks, learn from mistakes and take pride in what they achieve. I strongly believe that high academic standards and engaging learning should go hand in hand.

I am particularly passionate about English, especially grammar and creative writing. Whether exploring the possibilities of a carefully chosen word, improving the structure of a sentence or developing an original piece of writing, I want children to see language not simply as a subject to be learned, but as a powerful way to communicate, think and create.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children with a wide range of abilities and learning needs, including many pupils for whom English is an additional language. I use careful assessment, differentiation and targeted support to ensure that every learner can make meaningful progress while being appropriately challenged.

Beyond the classroom, I have always enjoyed contributing to the wider life of the school. As an Eco and Sustainability Coordinator, I have led environmental projects, community initiatives and pupil-led activities, experiences that have strengthened my belief in giving children a voice and encouraging them to understand the positive contribution they can make to their community and the world around them.

I am a reflective practitioner who values strong relationships, collaboration and continuous professional development. Working within international school communities has taught me the importance of open communication and of respecting the different cultures, perspectives and experiences that children, families and colleagues bring to school life.

As I begin my journey at Avenor, I am excited to bring my experience, creativity and enthusiasm to the school community while continuing to learn and grow alongside my colleagues and pupils. Above all, I hope to inspire children to be curious and independent learners, to believe in their abilities and to take genuine pride in both their progress and the work they produce.
