Form Tutor 1 Omega

My passion for education has its roots in the childhood I spent in a small town, surrounded by remarkable people and a close-knit community where I learned values that continue to guide me today: respect, kindness, and humility. Alongside the education I received at home, I was fortunate to be taught by exceptional educators—a dedicated primary teacher, inspiring Romanian and English teachers, a respected form tutor, and a mathematics teacher who transformed what many considered the most intimidating subject into something engaging and enjoyable. They were the role models who taught me that teachers shape not only minds, but also character.

In 2002, I graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Bucharest with a degree in Romanian and English Language and Literature. There, I had the privilege of learning from outstanding professors whose passion for the humanities and dedication to education left a lasting impression on me. Driven by a natural curiosity and a desire to explore different professional perspectives, I later completed a Master’s degree in European Administrative Studies at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in 2005. Although this represented a different direction, it broadened my perspective, providing valuable insights into organisational structures, leadership, and strategic thinking.

My passion for education, however, never faded. In 2021, I completed a degree in Primary and Preschool Education at the University of Bucharest, marking a meaningful return to a field that had always remained close to my heart. Throughout my career, I have consistently invested in my professional development through courses and training programmes that have strengthened my teaching practice and deepened my understanding of how children learn and develop at different stages of their educational journey.

While still at university, I began teaching English at a lower secondary school in Bucharest and later continued teaching at the Architecture High School in Bucharest. After several years in education, I chose to explore a different professional path and joined a multinational company, an opportunity that took me to the United States for a period of time. Living there gave me the chance to experience the American education system firsthand. I was inspired by its innovative approach, its strong focus on the individual development of every child, and the way learning is transformed into an engaging, authentic experience.

I joined Avenor at a time when I was looking to become part of a school community that shared the values I believe in: respect, responsibility, commitment, and confidence in every child’s potential. I was drawn to Avenor’s open and innovative environment, where learning is personalised and where relationships between teachers and students are built on encouragement, support, and collaboration.

Since 2017, I have been a member of the Avenor team, fulfilling my vocation as a Primary Teacher by guiding children with patience, care, and enthusiasm through the first steps of their educational journey.

As a Primary Teacher, I believe one of the greatest privileges of this profession is accompanying each new generation of children from their very first days at school—when they arrive full of curiosity and wonder—and supporting them as they grow into confident, capable, and compassionate young people. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to nurture not only academic achievement, but also learning skills, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and social awareness. There is no greater professional satisfaction than seeing children flourish through patience, trust, encouragement, and consistent support.

I firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential and build the foundations for a successful and meaningful future. Guided by this belief, I am proud and honoured to be part of the Avenor community—a team of dedicated professionals who approach education with integrity, expertise, and genuine care, always striving to give their very best to every child.
