Bogdan Lucaci
Learning Assistant
My passion for education began to take shape during high school, when I encountered an inspiring role model: my form teacher, who taught Romanian language and literature. Through her dedication, I came to understand the true positive impact a teacher can have on students’ lives. Her profound influence inspired me to pursue the path of education. I strongly believe that the role of a teacher goes far beyond the simple transmission of knowledge. It is about guiding students throughout their personal development. In my view, an authentic teacher is empathetic to the individual needs of each child. Also, a good teacher must be always open to learning – about the world and about themselves.
My academic journey is deeply rooted in this belief. I graduated from the Faculty of Letters at the University of Bucharest in 2024, earning a degree in Romanian Language and Literature – English Language and Literature. Between 2021 and 2024, I also completed the Level I Pedagogical Training Module, which provided me with the theoretical and practical foundations of teaching. Driven by a desire to understand culture and human development more deeply, I also successfully completed my Master’s degree specialising in Ethnology, Cultural Anthropology, and Folklore, alongside my Level II pedagogical training. This rich educational background has granted me a unique perspective on communication, which I love to share with my students.
My professional journey at Avenor College began in January 2025. Initially, I worked with the youngest children in the nursery class, and starting in 2026, I am very excited to continue my journey within the school by transitioning into my new role as a Learning Assistant in the primary school. Although I am at an early stage of my professional path, I bring commitment to every aspect of my work. I view each day in the classroom as an opportunity for mutual growth. Alongside my daily teaching responsibilities, I have actively channeled my energy into volunteering for school-wide creative initiatives, helping to organise events that bring joy for young minds.
Beyond my professional life, I am defined by a few key passions that help me maintain a healthy balance and stay connected to myself. These include reading, learning new languages, and swimming. I believe in the harmonious integration of mind and body, and in the importance of continuous personal and professional development.
Joining the Avenor community came from a deep desire to work in a modern, creative, and child-centered educational environment. I aspire to continue contributing, alongside the dedicated team here, to shaping curious young individuals who are firmly grounded in human values. My dream is to lead by example and to create safe spaces that foster the pure joy of discovery in each child’s educational journey.
