Hello! My name is Corina Ciucă – Hoțescu and I am happy to be part of the Avenor team.

If I had to name a moment when I chose to become a teacher, I couldn’t. What I always say is that the job chose me, not the other way around.

There were many parts of myself that I discovered in this profession so when I walked into a classroom during my first practice course I felt that I was in a place specially designed for me and I have found my main purpose in life.

Care and love for children comes naturally for me; being the oldest sister in a large family, I developed a passion for working with the little ones from an early age. The first memories from childhood are accompanied by the classic question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” followed by my answer, always the same, “I want to be a teacher!”.

The child who said those words grew up, and the moment I saw myself faced with a choice that would define my future, I made the best decision. I chose with my soul, so I became a student at the National Pedagogical College “Mircea Scarlat” from Alexandria which I later graduated from, after many hours of practice, dozens of projects and thousands of emotions. In 2016, obtaining the qualifications of educator, primary teacher and  English teacher.

Following a new passion discovered during high school, I continued my studies at the Faculty of Psychology where I am a second year student. I want us to raise different and healthy generations capable of making important decisions.

I am a lover of arts and aesthetics, I like going to the theater and I love museums. Throughout my career, I have had the great satisfaction of discovering that I can also instill this love in the children I work with, creating art with them, on a daily basis.

With the birth of my child, I realized how important the roles of parent and teacher really are. We guide the adults of tomorrow on the path of life, we support them, we help them to make the right decisions, just as Avenor claims, we become creators of the future.

After gaining teaching experience over the last six years, during which I learned that just like children, we as teachers learn something daily from them, I felt that it was time to choose with my heart again. Therefore, after a long exploration of Bucharest’s educational offers, I chose Avenor.

I am extremely happy that I share the same values ​​with this institution. Devotion to the children, wanting the system to adapt to their needs and focusing on their well-being are the basis of the principles I believe in.

I welcome this new chapter of my life with emotion and enthusiasm and I set as my goal every day, to be the educator that I would have wanted when I was little.
