Corina Oprea

Nursery Teacher

Greetings, my name is Corina.

I have been a part of Avenor since 2020. Over the past years, I have undergone a learning and growth process, both as a class teacher and as the coordinator of the Learning Outside The Classroom (LOTC) Visitors programme for the Nursery.

My passion for culture and stories as a means of conveying cultural-coded information led me to graduate from the University of Bucharest’s Faculty of History, specializing in Ancient History and Archaeology. My thesis focused on comparative mythology, specifically cosmological myths. I also completed the pedagogy course at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, where I gained insights into knowledge transfer and the significance of early years education. Furthermore, I pursued a Master’s programme in Art History and Cultural Philosophy at the same faculty.

Beyond my interest in myths and stories, I have always been enthusiastic about foreign languages and cultures. I currently hold a C1 Advanced Cambridge Certificate.

The upcoming year will bring fresh responsibilities, covering: assisting the nursery children in the learning process, resuming the Learning Outside the Classroom programme, assisting the nursery teachers in the assessment process and coordinating the student council. I am delighted to embark on this new journey, embracing challenges and assuming new roles.

I am eagerly waiting to share these experiences and many more alongside the children in the upcoming school year.
