Corina Trâmbițașu
Teacher of English
My journey into education began in childhood, nurtured by a deep passion for reading that opened up the universe of literature for me. I was fortunate to grow up with my grandfather by my side – a dedicated teacher who guided me during my formative years. His unwavering support and mentorship left a profound, lasting impact on my life. Inspired by such an exemplary role model, I naturally approached learning with genuine enthusiasm and an eagerness to absorb new knowledge.
Today, I view the teacher’s role not just as an instructor, but as a facilitator of joy and discovery. My passion drives me to design secure, stimulating environments where students can uncover their own love for learning. I am deeply committed to supporting their holistic development, building their confidence, and contributing to their growth with care and enthusiasm.
My academic foundation in pedagogy was established in the United Kingdom. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Essex, where I completed a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Studies. This comprehensive program prepared me for the rigorous School-Centered Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) pathway. Following this, I completed my statutory period as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) and successfully achieved my status as a fully qualified teacher (QTS) within the British educational system.
With over 13 years of rich experience in education, I have developed a versatile career across international and national school settings. Over more than a decade, I have occupied diverse roles, including classroom teacher, specialist teacher, and support teacher within the primary cycle. This professional variety has allowed me to master the curriculum and successfully deliver lessons in both English and Romanian.
In 2025, I made the rewarding decision to relocate from England to Romania and proudly joined the Avenor team. My first year here has been a truly wonderful experience; the entire community of colleagues, students, and parents made me feel incredibly welcomed and supported from day one. Throughout this fantastic year, I have specialised as a primary English teacher, working across a dynamic range of levels from Clasa Pregătitoare up to Grade 4.
Outside the classroom, my life is enriched by reading, gardening, and traveling – passions that actively shape how I teach. Immersing myself in books fuels my creativity for lesson planning, while exploring new countries expands my cultural perspective, allowing me to bring a global mindset to our language lessons. Meanwhile, my love for gardening has taught me the value of patience, care, and nurturing growth step-by-step – principles I apply daily to supporting my students. I love bringing these interests directly to our school community through extracurricular activities; I currently run a phonics club, look forward to launching a guided reading club next year, and am excited to lead a special one-week gardening club during this year’s summer school to help young learners stay curious, think independently, and discover the world around them.
Looking ahead at Avenor College, my ultimate goal is to cultivate a warm, supportive atmosphere where discovering a new language feels genuinely thrilling for every child. By combining my extensive grounding in the UK National Curriculum with my practical knowledge of how children naturally absorb languages, I want to help our primary students find their voices as expressive, kind, and articulate speakers. I am eager to strengthen my partnerships with Avenor families and my fellow educators, working hand-in-hand to build a tightly-knit community that sparks a genuine, lifelong enthusiasm for literature and learning.
