Daniela Radu

Form Tutor

I joined the Avenor team in 2015, during which time I have had the opportunity to work with pupils from all primary school year groups. I have been actively involved in supporting the transition of Reception pupils to the requirements and pace of school life, working closely with the educational team – experiences which, year after year, have helped me enrich my teaching approach, refine my instructional strategies, and develop methods tailored to the diverse needs and learning styles of children. Constant interaction with pupils, parents, and colleagues has strengthened my belief that a positive and stimulating educational environment is essential for the progress and confidence of every child.

The collaboration with my colleagues, as well as my active participation in the courses and workshops offered through the school’s Professional Development Programme – such as Teaching Mathematics in the Bilingual School or What Is Worth Learning… and Why? – have contributed significantly to my professional growth and refinement.

I graduated from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Bucharest in 2011, specialising in Pedagogy. In the same year, I began my teaching career in a non-profit organisation delivering educational programmes for children aged between 5 and 14.

To further enhance my professional preparation, I completed a Master’s degree in the Management and Evaluation of Educational Organisations and Programmes at the same faculty. I also graduated from the Teacher Training Department, obtaining a double qualification as a primary school teacher and an early years teacher. In 2017, I obtained the TKT CLIL certification, and in 2019 the Young Learners certificate, both issued by the British Council Bucharest.

Being alongside my pupils during their first years of school is an experience that enriches me year after year, both professionally and personally.

My goal remains to create a balanced and safe educational environment where every child feels respected, understood, and encouraged to express their ideas, to accept mistakes as a natural part of the learning process, and to discover their own potential. I am committed to supporting them on this journey, helping them develop the skills they need to become confident and independent in their educational path.
