Laboratory Technician

Start date: January 2026/ August 2026 – negotiable 

Key responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:

  • Preparing experiments required for the teaching of Biology/Chemistry/Physics from Middle School through to A Level ;
  • Monitoring stock of materials and placing necessary orders;
  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of curricular and co-curricular lessons;
  • Ensuring a high standard of order and cleanliness of materials, equipment, and substances used in the Science laboratory;
  • Providing administrative support to teachers in the Science department;
  • Running preliminary tests to ensure experimental standards before the lesson;
  • Preparing practical exam requirements according to instructions provided;
  • Ensuring the implementation and compliance with Health and Safety procedures in all Science laboratories.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A graduate in Biology/Chemistry (secondary or higher studies in a related field);
  • Interested in working in education (ideally with DPPD teacher training completed);
  • Competent in English;
  • Passionate about laboratory work;
  • Disciplined and able to respond quickly in different situations;
  • Proactive;
  • Able to contribute within the department to the co-creation of stimulating Science learning experiences;
  • Motivated to ensure that Science is a central part of the entire curricular and extracurricular experience;
