School Systems Assistant

Avenor College is welcoming a knowledgeable, detail-oriented School Systems Assistant to support the effective operation of our academic and co-curricular systems. This operational, execution-focused role provides essential support to the Academic Systems Team, ensuring data accuracy and smooth daily school operations.
The Role
The School Systems Assistant focuses on implementing tasks within the school’s Management Information System, coordinating cover allocation, and supporting the administration of our extensive clubs programme. You will work closely with the School Systems Manager and provide support to the School Systems and Clubs Coordinators.
Key Responsibilities include:
- MIS Administration: Managing student and staff records, creating reporting columns, creating accounts for staff and parents, creating different reports on attendance, missed registers, lates, setting up different modules on school platforms, and providing technical support for staff and parents (e.g., password resets).
- Cover Administration: Implementing school cover procedures for planned and emergency absences to minimize learning disruption, managing the cover email account, and creating cover reports for the management team.
- Clubs Coordination: Collaborating with the Club Coordinator to manage offers, student allocations, room bookings, and communication with parents.
- Data & Finance Support: Generating attendance and enrollment reports and preparing monthly data for the Financial Department regarding paid clubs and external teacher billing.

- Education: Hold a Bachelor’s degree; Information Systems, Educational Technology, Data Management or a related field degree is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Possess strong IT and data management skills, specifically with databases and Excel.
- Communication: Is fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Experience: Previous administrative experience within an educational setting is considered a distinct advantage.
- Competencies: Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a high level of accuracy/attention to detail, and the ability to solve routine technical issues.
